Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This policy explains how Skate Skate handles information when you use the app and its community features.
1.Identity and Profile
Skate Skate assigns a random player identifier stored on your device and uses Firebase anonymous authentication. You do not need to provide a legal name, email address, phone number, or password to begin. A username is chosen or generated, and optional profile information may be visible to other signed-in users. Anonymous authentication does not mean activity cannot be associated with your Skate Skate profile.
2.Trick Vault
Vault video files are primarily stored locally in the app’s device storage. Clip information such as trick name, date, thumbnail, rating, and visibility may also be stored locally or with your profile. A saved clip may be marked Public according to the app’s current visibility setting. Saving a Vault clip does not itself upload the full Vault video file. The Vault is not a guaranteed cross-device backup service.
3.Uploaded Media
Profile photos and Spot photos or videos you select may be uploaded using cloud service providers. Uploaded profile and Spot content is intended to be visible to other users. We do not promise that every EXIF field or other embedded metadata is removed. Do not upload content containing information you do not want to share.
4.Messages and Community Content
Direct messages and related text are stored to provide messaging and safety features. Messages are intended for chat participants, not as public profile posts. Usernames, bios, Spot names, captions, friend requests, reports, notifications, and other community content may also be stored. Reports may be reviewed for safety and moderation.
5.Location
Spot and nearby-skatepark features may use foreground location information. You can also choose a location manually on the map. Coordinates submitted for a Spot may be visible to other users, and a nearby-skatepark search may send selected coordinates to a map or search provider. The app does not currently use background location. Location permissions can be managed in iOS Settings.
6.Camera, Microphone, and Photos
The app may request camera, microphone, or Photos access when you choose recording, importing, profile-photo, Spot-media, or media-saving features. These permissions can be managed in iOS Settings.
7.Notifications
A push token may be created after you grant notification permission. Expo and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) may process tokens and notification content. Notifications may concern messages, friend requests, and app activity. Notification permissions can be managed in iOS Settings.
8.Service Providers
Skate Skate uses operational providers such as Firebase, Expo and Apple, Cloudflare, YouTube, and map and nearby-skatepark providers. These providers may process information needed to deliver their services and may create technical logs under their own practices.
9.Analytics, Advertising, and Sale
The app does not currently include a dedicated analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or cross-app tracking implementation. Operational providers may still create technical logs. We do not sell your personal information.
10.Account Deletion
A Delete Account option is available in the Profile tab and is designed to remove account-related records. Some shared, safety, historical, technical, or locally stored records may remain. For help with an account or data-deletion request, email skateskateapp@gmail.com.
11.Children
If you believe a child has submitted personal information through Skate Skate, contact skateskateapp@gmail.com so the concern can be reviewed.
12.Policy Changes
We may update this policy and post the revised date on this page. Additional notice may be provided when appropriate.
